I'm sad to say that I was sorely disappointed with this latest installment in the Persephone Alcmedi series. I have loved all the previous books & eagerly awaited Shattered Circle to move up to the top of my Wish List for purchase on its release date. Unfortunately, the book did not provide anything new to the series' plotline AT ALL. Instead, it was a disjointed mashup of unrelated stories from the alternating POVS of the usual suspects (Johnny, Menessos, & Persephone) as well as some lesser characters. The book lacked depth and continuity. There wasn't even an overarching theme to tie the POVS together. There was no STORY to this story. I really didn't feel that the author cared one way or another about the words she strung together and then shipped off to the publisher as an "addition" to the series. It was as though Ms. Richardson only wrote the book to meet contract demands. Truly, Shattered Circle can be skipped entirely. Don't waste your money on this one. Let's hope the author finds her muse again and is able to provide Persephone a real adventure in the next installment. She is a great character and deserves more from her creator.

This is a series worth reading from the first book on. I love Persephone and all the cast of characters! She is so strong and the author has done a wonderful job of showing depth of character, growth and plot tension.
Once again, the hubby and I are addicted to a series. This writing style is wonderful. It really pulls you into the story and makes you crave more! We can't wait to see what Linda Robertson has in store for the series!
Linda Robertson is an excellent writer, and normally I give her five stars, but this one seemed to be rushed. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it, but seemed to leave a little of the heart and soul out of the characters this time.
Non stop action from chapter one. The story moved seamlessly and I had a very hard time putting it down.
This is just the next step in this series that FINALLY concentrates more on Mennosis and Persephone... but only because Johnny tries to kill her. Then there's three ancient lie detectors who are out to get Mennosis and Death himself (ok maybe NOT Death death... hee hee) show's up. This is a must read! I can't wait for the next book!
While it the wasn't quite up to the standards of previous books, primarily thanks to confusing plot points and switching character POV, it was still an entertaining read. I've been a big fan of the characters Persephone, Johnny and Menessos and their journey since book one(after all, Persephone Alcmedi contains one of the very few love triangles where I would have been equally happy if Persophone ends up with either Johnny or Menessos... or even both) and while I was slightly disappointed with this novel, I wasn't unhappy with it and am looking forward to seeing how they develop in further installments. My biggest worry about this book was that it was the last of Persephone we would ever see, but some developments towards the end leave me with hope there will be more.
Well, I think the series is about done for me. This one felt like I was running in place- there was no real advancement with the characters. The book was pure plot, way too many plots- with no real advancement in the storyline. Definitely not a super riveting read. The writer is good, but there are too many sub plots that never seem to reach a conclusion, and the character relationships went absolutely no where.
